Job summary

Van Cleef Engineering Associates, LLC seeks a Survey Project Manager / Professional Land Surveyor in our Doylestown, PA office to lead land surveying projects and coordinate field and office staff. You will review documents, prepare proposals, manage budgets, and ensure compliance with laws while mentoring junior survey staff and maintaining client relationships.

Strong PLS license and 7+ years of surveying experience are required; proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, survey data processing

Qualifications

PLS license required.
Bachelor's degree in Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred.
7+ years of progressive surveying experience including project management.
Strong knowledge of boundary law, title research, and land development processes.
Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D, survey data processing software, and GPS/robotic total station equipment.

Responsibilities

Manage all phases of surveying projects (boundary, topographic, ALTA/NSPS, construction layout, subdivision).
Oversee field and office staff to ensure timely and accurate data collection, processing, and deliverables.
Review and certify survey documents, plans, and legal descriptions per state regulations.
Prepare proposals, scopes of work, budgets, and project schedules.
Monitor project progress, costs, and resource allocation to ensure profitability.
Coordinate with engineers, municipal agencies, clients, and contractors.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior survey staff.
Ensure compliance with company standards, safety protocols, and laws.
