Job summary

CRH, via Staker Parson Companies, seeks a mid-to-senior Project Manager to lead large heavy civil construction projects from planning through closeout in Utah. You will oversee budgets, schedules, safety and quality while coordinating with owners, DOTs, subcontractors and JV partners.

This role requires strong leadership and hands-on management at a multi-project level. This position demands a technical civil engineering or construction degree, 15+ years in heavy civil, and proven leadership on

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
• 15+ years of civil construction experience with heavy civil projects.
• At least 5 years in Project Manager, Segment Manager, or Area Manager roles.
• Familiarity with DOT procedures and standards.

Responsibilities

• Project Planning & Scheduling: develop comprehensive plans and schedules.
• Financial Management: manage budgets, forecast costs, track invoices and change orders.
• Team Leadership: mentor and motivate the project team, foster safety culture.
• Subcontractor & Vendor Coordination: select, oversee, and negotiate subcontracts.
• Contract & Project Administration: track RFIs, submittals, progress payments.
• Safety & Environmental Compliance: enforce OSHA standards and environmental rules.
• Quality Control: ensure work meets design specs and DOT requirements.
• Client & Stakeholder Relations: regular status updates and meetings.
• Problem Solving & Risk Mgmt: identify risks and implement mitigations.
• Project Closeout: oversee inspections, punch lists, and turnover.
