HEI Civil in Phoenix seeks a highly motivated Project Manager to lead complex heavy civil projects across our Arizona operations. You will manage budgets, schedules, subcontractors, and safety, coordinating with field teams to deliver quality results on roadways, bridges, and water infrastructure.

The role requires strong communication and negotiation skills, the ability to oversee multiple stakeholders, and a track record of on-time, within-budget project delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience with civil and heavy highway construction projects.
• Proven ability to manage costs, schedules, and quality.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills; ability to oversee subcontractors.

Responsibilities

• Work with Heavy Job and Heavy Bid.
• Review costs daily and monitor budget performance.
• Review quality daily – quantities, pictures, and notes.
• Coordinate with Superintendents on schedules, labor, equipment, materials, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Inform General Superintendents and Field Operations Manager of significant budget or quality issues.
• Create and maintain weekly schedules for budget management and tracking.
• Manage cost/change control, including change orders and delay analysis; ensure tracking of project documents.
• Control extra work orders; ensure EWOs are signed before work begins.
• Document control and archiving of project documentation and permits.
• Conduct weekly project update meetings and daily recap meetings.
