Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 5+ years of experience in Civil and/or Heavy Highway Construction.
• Experience with underground utilities, earthwork, roadway reconstruction, and civil construction.
• Strong negotiation and subcontractor management abilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, MS Project, and HCSS.

Responsibilities

• Prepares commercial estimates per bid procedure.
• Prepares subcontractor evaluations.
• Attends weekly construction meetings.
• Reviews plans, specifications, permit drawings and Owner requirements.
• Prepares bid proposals with cost breakdowns, scope, and exclusions.
• Prepares drawing list and subcontractor takeoffs.
• Processes and distributes all bid-related information and change orders.
• Maintains positive client/subcontractor relationships.
• Manages project budgets and purchasing decisions.
