Job summary

Bowman Consulting Group, Ltd. seeks a Civil Project Manager in Glendale, AZ to lead complex civil projects from scope to closeout. You will manage budgets, schedules, and teams, coordinate with clients and internal departments, and drive profitability.

The role demands strong communication, leadership, and design coordination across multiple projects on site. The position offers opportunities to grow with a respected firm, manage high-visibility projects, and build lasting client relationships

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related discipline.
• Registered Professional in field of expertise required.
• Eight or more (8+) years of civil engineering experience, including at least 3 years in assistant project management.
• Land development engineering experience including residential and commercial developments.
• Thorough understanding of municipal codes and regulations.
• Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D, AES, CIVILD, WSPGW, PCSWMM, StormCAD, HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Projects).
• Experience with Storm Drain Modeling and Rational Method Hydrologic Calculations.
• Experience with Open Channel & Detention Basin Modeling and Design.
• Experience with HEC-RAS modeling and CLOMR/LOMR applications and processing.
• Experience researching zoning, development standards, development review processes, compliance matters, regulations and standards.
• Ability to write reports, prepare narratives, development applications, submittal documents and response letters.

Responsibilities

• Leadership and Direction: Receive broad guidance from senior-level management relating to overall objectives; manage people and processes to ensure effective execution; review staff work for quality assurance.
• Operational and Company Level: Assist with marketing the firm’s capabilities to establish new clients and enhance relationships with existing clients; coordinate with other internal departments to meet project requirements; drive profitability and growth of projects.
• Do the Work: Perform project development for complex projects including finalizing scope, preparing bids and budgets; manage day-to-day project management across multiple projects; prepare designs, specifications, plans, estimates and reports; review job cost sheets and monthly billings; monitor WIP, billings, and AR; maintain client relationships; assist with marketing presentations; secure repeat business; supervise project personnel; liaise with clients, subcontractors and design teams; review project changes and CLOMR/LOMR related items; provide technical design assistance.
