Maverick Engineering is seeking a Senior Project Manager/Principal Civil Engineer for our Midland, Texas team. You will lead complex civil engineering and land development projects, owning them from feasibility through construction and closeout.

This senior role emphasizes technical leadership, project management, client relationships, mentoring, and business development to help grow Maverick Engineering’s West Texas practice.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited program.
• Active Texas PE license required.
• 5+ years of progressively responsible civil engineering experience.
• Experience leading complex civil or land development projects.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D.

Responsibilities

• Lead civil engineering and land development projects from concept through construction and closeout.
• Serve as the senior technical resource for complex civil engineering assignments.
• Lead and oversee design of commercial, residential, multifamily, municipal, industrial, and other development projects.
• Develop and review grading, drainage, paving, roadway, utility, stormwater, and site development plans.
• Prepare and review engineering calculations, specifications, reports, studies, cost estimates, and construction documents.
• Evaluate site conditions and project constraints to develop practical, cost-effective solutions.
• Coordinate with clients, developers, surveyors, geotechnical consultants, architects, contractors, municipalities, and regulatory agencies.
• Support land development approvals, permitting, and agency coordination.
• Lead drainage studies, hydrologic analyses, and stormwater management work.
• Support roadway, water, wastewater, drainage, and other public infrastructure projects.
