Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or closely related field.
• Minimum of six (6) years of progressive professional experience in civil engineering, preferably within land development.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in the Commonwealth of Virginia, or the ability to obtain Virginia licensure within six (6) months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and oversee the development of construction drawings, technical specifications, and construction contract documents.
• Provide civil engineering design services including site layout, grading, drainage, stormwater management, and utility infrastructure design.
• Support a range of project types including linear utility extension and multi-use developments.
• Design and coordinate paving, drainage, grading, water, and wastewater site improvements.
• Mentor junior engineering staff and coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders.
