Job summary

Pennoni is seeking a Project Civil Engineer (Land Development) to join our Hampton Roads, VA team on a full-time basis. You will contribute to multi-discipline design projects, manage scopes, schedules, and client communications from concept through construction.

The role emphasizes leading land development plans, coordinating regulatory permits, and mentoring junior engineers and drafters. A bachelor’s in civil engineering and 5+ years’ experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (or related discipline).
• 5+ years of professional experience, preferably Land Development.
• Strong problem-solving abilities across multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to multiple projects and monitor schedules & budgets.
• Meet regularly with clients.
• Prepare proposals for new & existing clients (including estimation of project fees).
• Oversee development of Land Development Plans from schematic design through construction.
• Coordinate permits with regulatory agencies for large-scale projects.
• Delegate workload to Junior Engineers & Drafters; mentor in SWM, Utility Coordination, and Erosion & Sediment Control.
• Additional tasks may be assigned, as needed.
