Job summary

Suburban Consulting Engineers, Inc is seeking a Project Coordinator (Civil) to join our New Jersey offices in Flanders or Hackensack. The successful candidate is pursuing or maintaining a Professional Engineer license and has 8+ years of civil engineering experience, with hands-on involvement in concept and detailed design, QA/QC, and client coordination.

This role requires strong scheduling and budget skills, mentoring of team members, and effective communication with clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering required.
• 8+ years of civil engineering experience.
• PE license track preferred; licensed PE is a plus.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; AutoCAD Civil 3D experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Actively manages project scope, schedule and budget.
• Performs technical discipline tasks including research, reports, design, specifications and plan preparation.
• Coordinates work efforts and reviews of work performed by project teams.
• Supervises and mentors individuals to achieve project objectives.
• Keeps project team informed of developments and requirements and relays updates to clients.
