Job summary

Tom Trese Networking LLC in Nashville, TN seeks a Senior Civil Estimator to lead our preconstruction team and oversee detailed cost estimates for paving and civil projects.

You will manage bid processes, analyze drawings, and present final estimates to senior management, mentoring junior staff and driving process improvements in a competitive market.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as an estimator in the civil industry.
• Proven track record estimating a range of civil projects (excavation, paving, grading, etc).
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
• Proficiency with estimation software and tools listed in the qualifications.

Responsibilities

Senior Civil Estimator - Nashville, TN

As a Leader in the Civil Construction industry for Nashville TN , We work in a complex side of the construction industry.

We are searching for an experienced Estimator in Nashville to lead our Civil Precon Department.

As our Senior Civil Estimator - you will oversee, approve & present our competitive cost estimates for all paving projects we perform. Furthermore, Your expertise will directly impact the company’s ability to win more work and execute on those potential projects -- so We are looking for the Right Person to lead ( and grow) our preconstruction team.

Responsibilities

• Analyze drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare detailed cost estimates.
• Lead bid processes for public and private sector projects.
• Identify labor, materials, and time requirements by studying proposals and plans.
• Solicit and analyze subcontractor and supplier quotes.
• Prepare bid packages and present final estimates to senior management.
• Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits when necessary.
• Provide value engineering recommendations.
• Maintain historical cost data and develop estimating templates and tools.
• Mentor junior estimators and contribute to process improvements.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as an estimator in the civil industry.
• Proven track record of estimating a range of civil projects (excavation, paving, grading, etc).
• Proficient in necessary software is preferred including Excel, Bluebeam (+ HeavyBid,, Bid-To-Win, AGTEK -preferred but not required).
• Excellent communication, client/business development and negotiation abilities.
• Sense of Urgency on submitting complete bids (on time) is absolutely essential.
