Job summary

Aspire Talent Solutions in Nashville seeks a Senior Civil Estimator to lead our Civil Precon Department. You will oversee, approve and present competitive cost estimates for paving projects, directly impacting our ability to win work and execute on upcoming contracts.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of civil estimating experience, a proven track record across excavation, paving and grading, and proficiency with Excel, Bluebeam, HeavyBid, Bid-To-Win or AGTEK.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as an estimator in the civil industry.
• Proven track record estimating civil projects (excavation, paving, grading).
• Excellent communication, client/business development and negotiation abilities.
• Sense of Urgency on submitting complete bids (on time).
• Proficient with Excel, Bluebeam, HeavyBid, Bid-To-Win, AGTEK preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyze drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare detailed cost estimates.
• Lead bid processes for public and private sector projects.
• Identify labor, materials, and time requirements by studying proposals and plans.
• Solicit and analyze subcontractor and supplier quotes.
• Prepare bid packages and present final estimates to senior management.
• Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits when necessary.
• Provide value engineering recommendations.
• Maintain historical cost data and develop estimating templates and tools.
• Mentor junior estimators and contribute to process improvements.

We are searching for an experienced Estimator in Nashville to lead our Civil Precon Department.

As our Senior Civil Estimator - you will oversee, approve & present our competitive cost estimates for all paving projects we perform. Furthermore, Your expertise will directly impact the company’s ability to win more work and execute on those potential projects -- so We are looking for the Right Person to lead ( and grow) our preconstruction team.
