Job summary

Premier Chicagoland Civil Contractor seeks a Senior Project Manager to lead multiple site development and heavy civil projects from preconstruction through closeout. You’ll own project performance, client satisfaction, and team leadership across earthwork, utilities, and paving.

You will mentor junior staff, collaborate with field operations, and ensure delivery on time and budget, while managing budgets, schedules, and change control in a fast-paced Midwest environment.

• Lead and manage multiple site development and heavy civil projects from preconstruction through closeout.
• Own project performance, client satisfaction, and team leadership across earthwork, utilities, and paving.
• Mentor junior staff and coordinate with field operations to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage multiple projects simultaneously (budgets, schedules, and quality).
• Oversee preconstruction efforts including estimating support, value engineering, and logistics planning.
• Manage project financials including forecasting, cost control, and change management.
• Serve as primary point of contact for clients, engineers, and stakeholders.
• Coordinate with field teams to ensure safe, efficient execution.
• Negotiate and manage subcontractor and supplier agreements.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time and on budget.
• Mentor and develop Project Managers and Project Engineers.
