Job summary

Soltesz in Lanham, MD is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead civil engineering and land development projects. You will supervise engineers, coordinate with clients, and drive project delivery from initiation to completion.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering required.
• Active Professional Engineer license in Maryland required.
• 10+ years of progressive civil engineering and land development design experience.
• 5+ years of experience managing and developing staff.
• Strong technical ability to develop and review plans with engineers, planners, and surveyors.
• Experience with suburban Maryland projects preferred.
• Experience with Prince George’s County projects and approvals a plus.
• Excellent project management, organizational, and delegation skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated commitment to client service, quality, and team development.

Responsibilities

• Manage civil engineering and land development projects from initiation through completion.
• Serve as primary client contact and provide high-quality responsive service.
• Lead, supervise, and mentor engineers, designers, and project staff.
• Coordinate staff assignments, workloads, and project priorities.
• Oversee quality control and technical review of plans and deliverables.
• Manage project schedules, budgets, profitability, and invoicing.
• Develop proposals, scopes of work, and project fee estimates.
• Provide regular feedback, coaching, and recognition to staff.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to support company goals and priorities.
• Build and maintain client relationships and support business development.
