Job summary

McKim & Creed in High Point, NC seeks a Civil PE - Land Development to lead site development design for residential, commercial and industrial projects. You will manage projects, mentor junior engineers, coordinate with clients and permitting agencies, and ensure design quality and on-time deliverables.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil or Environmental Engineering with NC PE registration
• 5-10+ years of civil land development design experience
• Knowledge of NC State and local permitting
• Experience with AutoCAD/Civil 3D, MS Word, Excel, Outlook
• Hydraflow experience preferred
• Stormwater design and hydrologic/hydraulic modeling desirable
• Strong presentation, technical writing and public speaking skills
• Leadership and communication abilities; mentor engineers

Responsibilities

• Project management and design of land development including water, sewer, grading, erosion control, and storm drainage
• Lead project teams and coordinate with major clients
• Mentor staff and contribute to staff development
• Ensure project completion with client meetings, budgeting, and AR collections
• Prepare reports, design drawings, specifications, and permit submittals
