McKim & Creed is seeking an Engineering Designer, Land Development to join our Planning, Development and Natural Resources team at the Raleigh Headquarters. You will provide technical and design services for civil projects, prepare design computations, and produce drawings, specs and bid documents under the Project Manager’s guidance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
• Proficient in CAD Civil 3D and capable of learning other design software as required.
• Strong writing and verbal skills; able to complete work consistently with flexibility.
• Solid communicator, able to coordinate with PM and design team.

Responsibilities

• Provides technical and design services in support of civil engineering projects as part of a project team.
• Prepares design computations and assessments.
• Produces design/construction drawings, technical specifications, and bid documents.
• Reports directly to their Project Manager.
• Responsible for completing design tasks within budget and on schedule.
• Communicate and coordinate with Project Manager and design team on design issues and calculations.
