Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active membership in the California State Bar and in good standing.
• 5+ years of civil litigation experience.
• Demonstrated experience with motion practice, discovery, depositions, hearings, and trial preparation.
• Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and advocacy skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Strong client relationship and counseling skills.
• Excellent professional judgment and attention to detail.
• Ability to independently manage complex litigation matters.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to prioritize competing deadlines and responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage civil litigation matters from initial case assessment through resolution.
• Evaluate legal and factual issues and develop appropriate case strategies.
• Conduct complex legal research and prepare detailed legal analysis.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery, correspondence, and other legal documents.
• Prepare for and participate in hearings, depositions, mediations, and trial proceedings.
• Represent clients in court, administrative proceedings, and other legal forums.
• Prepare witnesses and clients for hearings, depositions, mediation, and trial.
• Communicate proactively with clients regarding case strategy, developments, and expectations.
• Provide practical, strategic legal advice tailored to each client's circumstances.
• Collaborate with other attorneys and legal professionals on complex matters.
• Identify creative and practical solutions to difficult legal issues.
