Placements24 in Queenstown, Eastern Cape, seeks an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead major infrastructure initiatives on-site, coordinating with government bodies, contractors, and communities to deliver on time and within budget.

The role requires a civil engineering or related discipline background and 8+ years in large-scale infrastructure PM, with PMP/Pr.Eng desirable. On-site work with travel within the region is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years of progressive project management experience in infrastructure.
• Proven track record managing large-scale civil/construction projects.
• Knowledge of PM methodologies, construction processes, regulations.
• Experience with MS Project, Primavera P6, and CAD software.
• PMP or Pr.Eng certification desirable.

Responsabilités

• Lead the comprehensive planning and execution of infrastructure development projects.
• Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and success criteria.
• Develop detailed project plans, including schedules, resource allocation, and budget management.
• Manage and coordinate multidisciplinary project teams, including engineers, architects, and construction personnel.
• Oversee the procurement process, including tender evaluation and contract administration.
• Ensure all projects adhere to relevant building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards.
• Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement effective mitigation strategies.
• Manage project finances, including cost control, invoicing, and financial reporting.
• Liaise effectively with government bodies, community leaders, and other stakeholders.
• Conduct post-project reviews and document lessons learned for future projects.
