Job summary

GEI Consultants, Inc in Appleton, WI seeks a senior civil/geotechnical Project Manager to lead complex projects across multiple client sectors. You will oversee permitting, design, and construction QA while steering proposal efforts and key client relationships.

The role demands 15+ years in civil/geotechnical engineering, PE licensure, and proven business development skills. Hybrid work is available, with travel as needed to support projects and client engagements.

Qualifications

• 15 years of professional experience in civil or geotechnical engineering; project management experience including proposal preparation and budgeting.
• Knowledge of state and federal regulations; proven business development skills.
• Ability to manage a group of engineers and contribute to expanding GEI’s Appleton office.

Responsibilities

• Manage technical aspects for site civil, geotechnical, or water resources projects including permitting, design, contract document prep, and construction QA.
• Lead proposal teams; develop and maintain client/account relationships.
• Mentor staff, provide technical leadership and risk management; recruit/train additional staff.
