UES, Inc. is seeking a Geotechnical Project Manager to lead projects from Pineville, NC, in a hybrid work setting. The role suits an experienced PE or an EI/EIT on a clear path toward PE, with 3+ years in geotechnical engineering.

You will manage scopes, schedules, budgets, and client relationships while mentoring junior staff and supporting field work. The position involves travel to job sites (up to 40%), collaboration with clients and multidisciplinary teams, and delivering technically sound

Competenze

• Bachelor in Civil Engineering, Geological Engineering, Geology, or similar is required.
• 3+ years of experience in geotechnical engineering.
• PE license preferred or ability to obtain.
• PM certification is a plus but not required.
• Proven track record of managing mid-to-large scale engineering projects.
• Experience in geotechnical site investigations, laboratory testing, engineering design, and construction oversight.
• Experience developing project scopes, budgets, schedules, and risk assessments.
• Familiarity with ASTM, AASHTO, FHWA, ASCE, DOT, OSHA, etc.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; data-driven decisions.
• Ability to lead project teams and coordinate multidisciplinary efforts.
• Proven client communication, stakeholder engagement, and contract negotiations.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical reporting, proposal writing, and presentations.

• Develop project scopes, schedules, and budgets while ensuring successful project delivery.
• Provide technical expertise related to subsurface investigations, foundation design, earthwork, slope stability, and geotechnical risk evaluation.
• Partner with clients, contractors, developers, architects, and internal teams to solve engineering challenges.
• Review and prepare geotechnical reports, engineering recommendations, and deliverables.
