Qualifications

• This role requires a Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or construction management or a related field.
• Ten years estimating/construction experience including excavation, paving, underground utility, site development and heavy highway projects.
• Proficiency with estimating software such as HCSS and InSite.

Responsibilities

• Complete accurate estimates of required labor, equipment and materials for projects.
• Define and ensure implementation of estimating practices and procedures.
• Train, counsel, coach and mentor estimating staff with appropriate rewards, evaluations and discipline.
• Establish and maintain an effective system of communication within the organization.
• Maintain relationships with diverse groups and individuals and represent HRI to public and agencies.
• Review and seek out technology to improve estimating operations.
• Exercise proper care and maintenance of company equipment.
• Perform additional assignments per supervisor’s direction.
