Job summary

HRI, Inc. is seeking a management-level cost estimator responsible for generating accurate estimates for medium to large civil and heavy highway projects. This salaried, exempt position works independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities include leading and mentoring the estimating staff, implementing estimating practices, interfacing with internal teams and outside agencies, and pursuing process improvements using current estimating software such as HCSS and InSite.

Qualifications

• Requires BS in Civil Engineering or related field and 10+ years estimating/construction experience.
• Experience leading estimating staff and managing complex, multi-discipline projects.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate estimates for labor, equipment, and materials.
• Define and enforce estimating practices and procedures across the team.
• Mentor estimating staff and maintain effective communication within the organization.
• Represent the company with public agencies and external stakeholders.
