Job summary

Kiewit’s Central District is seeking a Sr. Civil Estimator to join our Lenexa, KS office. You will lead self-performed civil estimates for heavy civil/infrastructure projects, coordinating with preconstruction and field teams to drive accurate bids and reduce risk.

Preferred candidates have 5+ years of EPC estimating experience, strong leadership, and proficiency with InEight and MS Office; willingness to travel to project sites as needed.

Qualifications

• BS in engineering, construction, estimating or similar field, with 5+ years infrastructure estimating experience.
• Experience leading estimates and small estimating teams.
• Strong attention to detail, communication, interpersonal and leadership skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and estimating tools; willing to learn InEight.
• Willingness to visit site locations for walkdowns.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead complete estimates and quantity takeoffs for self-performed civil scopes.
• Review plans/specs to define construction approach for the estimate.
• Review proposals and bid docs; ensure estimate accuracy.
• Conduct site investigations before planning operations.
• Collaborate with PMs, design engineers, superintendents to align phasing.
• Lead subcontractor and vendor selection; mentor teams.
