Job summary

Black & Veatch in the United States is seeking a Virtual Design & Data Solutions Senior Engineering Technician to lead design teams and deliver high‑quality site development plans. You will apply advanced engineering principles, using CAD, BIM, Civil 3D, MicroStation, and OpenPlant Modeler, while mentoring junior technicians to ensure standards and compliance.

Qualifications

• Typically a minimum of 11 years related work experience.
• Associate Degree in Drafting or an Engineering Design Related Technology required.
• Bachelor Degree in an Engineering Design Related Technology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead design teams to develop high‑quality engineering deliverables.
• Apply advanced engineering expertise to solve complex design challenges.
• Create, modify, and maintain site development plans using CAD/BIM tools (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, OpenPlant).
• Provide consultation, training, and oversight to other technicians to ensure quality and compliance with project standards.
• Establish and communicate design standards and review deliverables for accuracy and consistency.
