STV is looking for a Full-Time Senior Civil Engineering Project Manager in Civil/Industrial Site Design in our Kentucky operation (Lexington, Louisville, Owensboro, Glasgow offices). These positions will involve Client Coordination and strong communication skills, while technical skills in facilitating projects from notice to proceed to final project closeout. This will include plan development, scheduling, cost estimating, specifications, and related administrative duties. Duties also include supervision and guidance as they relate largely to overall objectives, critical issues, new concepts, and policy matters.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Responsible for successful completion of assigned engineering projects. Apply intensive and diversified knowledge of engineering principles and practices to Civil Site Design and Industrial Site Design projects assigned. Make decisions independently on civil engineering problems and methods and represent the company in client meetings and coordination conferences to resolve important questions and to plan and coordinate work.
Plan, develop, coordinate, and direct the completion of assigned projects. Establish and maintain primary contact with clients. Prepare schedules to ensure projects are on time and within budget projections.
Determine technical and professional staffing needs; hire, train, manage and motivate personnel.
Establish and maintain quality and accuracy standards. Review and approve complete plans. Obtain approval of improvement plans and permitting by governing entities.
Take an active role in new business development.
Help with project scope and preparation of technical write-ups for proposals.
Oversee invoicing and collection of payments from clients for assigned projects. Review and approve invoices. Responsible for collecting outstanding receivables for jobs.
Supervise Engineers and Technicians as required. Work cooperatively with other managers and employees to achieve the company’s mission.
Qualifications and Skills:
BS in Civil Engineering.
PE licensure in KY.
8 or more years’ experience of related experience.
Proficiency in oral and written communications.
Although the working condition for this position is primarily a professional office position, the position may at times be required to assist in fieldwork. The physical requirements and working conditions for the field work are as follows:
- Ability to work outside in all weather conditions and environments.
- Other physical requirements: squatting, kneeling, climbing, walking certain distances.

Compensation Range: $76,703.94 - $102,271.92
