Job Title: Senior Civil Project Manager - Civil Engineering / Land Development
Tiello has partnered with a growing civil engineering and site development consultancy specializing in land development, civil engineering, dry utilities, surveying, planning, permitting, and construction coordination for commercial projects across the United States.
We are seeking an experienced Senior Civil Project Manager to lead complex commercial land and site development projects while managing client relationships, engineering teams, project schedules, budgets, permitting, and overall project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead commercial land and site development projects from initial feasibility and due diligence through design, permitting, and construction
- Manage project schedules, budgets, contracts, deliverables, and overall project performance
- Oversee conceptual grading, drainage, stormwater management, and utility infrastructure design
- Manage grading plans, drainage studies, hydrology/hydraulic calculations, WQMP/SUSMP plans, and erosion control plans
- Oversee water, sewer, storm drain, street improvement, and dry utility design and coordination
- Manage tentative parcel maps, tract maps, entitlement packages, and development plans
- Lead permitting, agency coordination, plan processing, and municipal submittals
- Coordinate directly with owners, developers, architects, consultants, municipalities, and utility providers
- Serve as a primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle
- Review engineering plans, calculations, reports, and technical deliverables
- Lead and mentor Project Engineers, Designers, and junior engineering staff
- Identify project challenges and develop technical and strategic solutions
- Support existing client relationships and business development initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
- 10+ years of civil engineering, land development, and/or site development experience
- Active Professional Engineer (P.E.) license required
- P.E. license may be held in any U.S. state
- Strong background in commercial land/site development
- Experience managing projects from feasibility and entitlement through permitting and construction
- Strong technical knowledge of grading, drainage, stormwater, utilities, roadway improvements, and site infrastructure
- Experience managing project budgets, schedules, engineering teams, consultants, and client relationships
- Strong understanding of municipal codes, development regulations, and permitting processes
- Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and related civil engineering software
- Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
Preferred Background
- Civil engineering / land development consulting background
- Senior-level experience as a Civil Project Manager, Land Development PM, Senior Civil Engineer, or similar
- Experience with commercial, industrial, data center, retail, multifamily, mixed-use, or logistics projects preferred
