Senior Civil Engineer - Water and Wastewater

The City of Hayward is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer - Water and Wastewater (Formal Title: Senior Utilities Engineer) with a water and/or wastewater background to supervise, direct, plan, and coordinate activities within the Utilities Division.

This mid-management position involves overseeing engineering activities such as planning, conceptual and final design, cost estimation, project bidding, construction services, and construction management for projects in wastewater treatment, water storage and distribution, sewer collection, and stormwater management.

The role is key in managing a $300 million upgrade to the Water Pollution Control Facility (WPCF), incorporating nutrient removal technology.
