Job summary

Apex Companies LLC in Vancouver, Washington seeks a Senior Civil Engineer to lead design and project management for local agency and state transportation projects, mentoring staff and engaging with clients to grow the transportation practice in Southwest Washington.

You will join a collaborative team delivering multidisciplinary projects, supporting marketing efforts, and building trusted relationships with municipalities and utilities. Eligible for annual bonus and a $10,000 sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

• 8+ years' experience in design and project management for transportation projects.
• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering and PE in Washington and/or Oregon.
• Strong client relationship skills and ability to mentor staff.
• Proficient with MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Serve as senior technical lead on projects > $750K annually.
• Contribute to successful business development > $250K annually.
• Estimate and budget labor hours for design projects; review job costing reports.
• Establish and maintain client relationships; ensure client objectives are met.
• Mentor young design professionals.
• Participate in business development opportunities.
• Participate in professional organizations and functions.
