Job summary

WSP USA in Boise, ID is seeking a Lead Professional, Civil Engineer to drive transportation projects and guide a growing Civil Engineering Team. You will work with clients to meet objectives, coordinate with multi-office teams, and ensure quality, schedule, and budget goals are achieved.

The role requires a PE license, 7–10 years of civil design experience, and proficiency with roadway design tools such as OpenRoads and MicroStation. Travel may be required to support district projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or closely related field.
• 7–10 years of post-education experience in engineering and prior civil design experience.
• Engineer license is required.
• Experience with ITD/LHTAC/ACHD or local agency standards is preferred.
• Proficient in civil design, roadways, alignments, profiles, cross-sections/super elevations.
• Experience with construction admin support (RFIs, submittals, changes).
• Strong QA/QC, and adherence to safety and standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead professional civil task work on transportation projects.
• Provide guidance to junior team members and project teams.
• Collaborate with clients to meet expectations.
• Support PMs in scopes, schedules, budgets, changes and risk.
• Maintain QA/QC for engineering activities and client standards.
• Work solo or in cross-functional teams to deliver sound engineering solutions.
• Coordinate with other design disciplines and offices.
• Stay current with Civil Engineering techniques and practices.
• Exercise ethical decision-making and adhere to codes and policies.
• Perform additional duties as needed.
