Job summary

Pierce County in Washington seeks a seasoned leader to supervise a multidisciplinary team of transportation planners, engineers and GIS specialists responsible for maintaining and improving the County's road system.

You will guide transportation and traffic modeling, analyze key data, and develop growth projections that inform capital projects and long-range planning, while standardizing design guidance and performance metrics.

Qualifications

• A resume and cover letter are required for this position.
• Licensure as a Professional Engineer in the State of Washington.
• Nine years of progressively responsible civil engineering experience.
• A bachelor’s degree from an ABET-accredited program in civil engineering, or closely related field, may be substituted for experience on a year-for-year basis, up to four years.
• Professional Engineers licensed in another state must be able to obtain licensure by the State of Washington within six months of employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
