About the Company - A nationally recognized transportation engineering and infrastructure consulting firm is seeking an experienced Transportation Regional Lead to support and grow its roadway and highway practice in the Seattle region. This is a full-time position with a flexible, hybrid work schedule. While the role does not require in-office presence every day, the ability to meet clients, attend local events, and engage with regional stakeholders is essential.

About the Role - The firm is seeking a seasoned P.E. qualified engineer with 12-15 years of transportation engineering experience, particularly with state transportation agencies such as WSDOT or SDOT. The ideal candidate will bring a network of regional contacts and be capable of expanding their presence in roads/ highways and public works across the Seattle area and surrounding counties. The incoming PM will manage existing and upcoming roadway and civil projects, lead a small team, and help grow new business — supporting design, delivery, and client relationships.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and deliver roadway and highway projects, ensuring compliance with agency standards, contract requirements, and project objectives.
  • Oversee project scope, budgets, schedules, and risk management while maintaining high-quality deliverables.
  • Lead, mentor, and coordinate a multidisciplinary team of roadway, traffic, and civil engineers across Washington.
  • Serve as a technical advisor to municipal and state agencies, ensuring clear communication and strong client satisfaction.
  • Support business development by leveraging regional relationships, preparing proposals, and attending client meetings and industry events.
  • Expand the firm’s presence in the Seattle region by cultivating a book of business and building long-term client partnerships.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution from concept through final design.
Qualifications
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE); Washington PE preferred.
  • 12–15+ years of experience in transportation engineering with a focus on roadway/highway projects.
  • Strong knowledge of Washington public-works agencies, including WSDOT and SDOT, municipal transportation departments, and county agencies.
  • Proven experience managing multidisciplinary engineering teams and delivering complex transportation projects.
  • Demonstrated business development ability and established regional client relationships.

Preferred Skills - This role is well-suited for a transportation engineer who thrives in complex project environments, values collaborative leadership, and enjoys building strong client relationships across the Seattle region. If you're looking for a role that offers challenge, impact and room to grow we encourage you to apply!
