Job summary

HDR, Inc. seeks a Senior Civil Engineer to join the Building Engineering Services group in Arlington, VA. You will lead site civil design for Federal, Water/Wastewater, Municipal and Industrial projects, coordinating with a multi-disciplinary team from planning through construction.

The role requires a PE license and 10 years of design experience, with strong leadership and project management skills. Preference for Mid-Atlantic residents with stormwater permitting experience in MD, VA, and DC.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years design experience in civil/site projects.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license recognized by the licensing board.
• Project engineering and project management experience.
• Active participation in employee-owned culture is a must.

Responsibilities

• Lead site civil design for multiple markets (Federal, Water/Wastewater, Municipal, Industrial).
• Coordinate with a multi-discipline design team through planning, development of construction documents, and construction administration.
• Develop construction drawings, specifications, and supporting engineering calculations.
• Review shop drawings during construction and mentor engineers/CAD professionals.
