Job summary

The City of West Hollywood is seeking a Senior Engineering Associate who will oversee consultant and contractor contracts, collaborate with City departments, and prepare reports and budgets for capital projects.

Ideal candidates will have civil/traffic engineering expertise, plan review experience, and strong analytical skills, with a track record in construction project management and effective communication with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university in Civil Engineering, Traffic/Transportation Engineering, or related field.
• Four to five years of full-time progressively responsible professional-level experience in civil engineering or traffic engineering, including two years of construction project management.
• Any combination of education, training, and experience which provides the required knowledge and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee consultant and contractor contracts and collaborate with City departments and agencies.
• Prepare and present materials to the City Council and commissions; develop studies, analyses, reports, budgets, work plans, designs, and specifications.
• Review plans and issue permits for building and development projects; ensure compliance with codes and standards.
