Job summary

The City of West Hollywood is seeking a Senior Engineering Associate to oversee consultant and contractor contracts and coordinate with City departments and state agencies. This role requires strong civil/traffic engineering knowledge and project management capabilities.

You will perform advanced professional duties, prepare materials for the City Council, develop studies and budgets, and review plans for building permits, with emphasis on public works and infrastructure projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Traffic/Transportation Engineering.
• 4–5 years of civil/traffic engineering experience; two years in construction project management.
• Experience with plan checks, permits, and applying codes and standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee consultant and contractor contracts and coordinate with City departments, stakeholders, and agencies.
• Prepare and present materials to the City Council and commissions; develop studies, analyses, budgets, and workplans.
• Review infrastructure designs and specifications; ensure compliance with codes and engineering standards.
• Manage project schedules, cost estimates, and reporting for public works projects.
