Job summary

Alta Environmental & Infrastructure in Arizona is seeking a Principal Civil Engineer (PE) to oversee complex civil projects from concept to completion, ensuring delivery within scope, schedule, and budget. You will lead project teams, manage client relations, and drive business development.

The role requires a PE with 10+ years of civil project management experience, strong financial acumen, and proven leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering; advanced degree or certifications preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years in civil engineering project management with a track record of on-time, on-budget delivery.
• Strong financial acumen and experience managing budgets, P&L, and financial performance metrics.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, execution, and monitoring of civil engineering projects, ensuring quality and client specifications.
• Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets, and report progress to stakeholders.
• Coordinate with internal teams, subcontractors, and vendors to allocate resources and resolve issues.
• Implement risk management strategies to mitigate project risks and resolve conflicts.
• Manage the P&L for assigned projects, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities and secure contracts through client relationships.
• Collaborate with finance to ensure accurate reporting and compliance.
