Job summary

Alta Environmental & Infrastructure in Arizona seeks a Principal Civil Engineer (PE) to oversee complex civil projects from conception to completion, ensuring scope, schedule, and budget success while driving business development and P&L ownership.

You will lead planning and execution, coordinate with teams and clients, manage budgets, monitor progress, and mentor junior staff to advance our multi-disciplinary engineering practice.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field; advanced degree or professional certifications preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years experience in civil engineering project management, delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
• Strong financial acumen; experienced with budgets, P&L, and performance metrics.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills; ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, execution, and monitoring of civil engineering projects, ensuring quality, regulatory compliance, and client specs.
• Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets; regularly report progress to stakeholders.
• Coordinate with internal teams, subcontractors, and vendors to allocate resources and resolve issues.
