Job summary

The Engineer Supervisor/Expert works in the Arkansas Department of Parks, Heritage and Tourism Planning Development Office, managing complex civil engineering projects and infrastructure for the state's 52 parks and facilities.

This role combines technical expertise with leadership, overseeing design and construction efforts, supervising engineering staff, and serving as a subject matter expert in civil engineering solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• Professional Engineer (PE) license from Arkansas or appropriate state board
• Minimum 4 years of progressive engineering experience including complex design projects
• Current Arkansas PE registration preferred
• Experience managing multiple design and construction projects and overseeing construction contracts
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to translate technical concepts
