Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture or Civil Engineering and 5+ years in urban development/parks planning.
• Arkansas Landscape Architecture License or Professional Engineer license, or eligibility for licensure.
• Proficiency with GIS/design tools (ArcMap, AutoCAD, Adobe Photoshop).
• Knowledge of construction materials, stormwater, plant materials, and green infrastructure ideologies.

Responsibilities

• Prepares Statements of Qualifications and hires design firms for park projects.
• Prepares and reviews plans, specs, contracts, and RFPs for park designs.
• Manages design phases of capital projects; coordinates with design firms and city departments.
• Reviews construction to ensure code compliance; conducts field checks.
• Assists with easement acquisitions and grant applications; manages grants.
• Conducts field investigations and prepares data-driven reports for park projects.
