Job summary

WSP USA seeks a senior civil engineer to provide technical leadership in planning, design, and management of infrastructure projects. The role emphasizes quality, regulatory compliance, and innovation within a dynamic environment.

Located in Louisville or Lexington, KY, with opportunities for increasing responsibility and staff development. Responsibilities include client meetings, design package development, and project delivery oversight.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related discipline.
• 5–10+ years of post-education experience in civil and infrastructure design.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required; multi-state licensure preferred or willingness to obtain.
• Experience with design reviews, codes, regulations, and permitting.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and professional leadership for civil engineering work.
• Develop plans, specifications, cost estimates, design reports, and construction packages for civil components.
• Review engineering calculations, plans, and specs for compliance with codes and standards.
• Lead or support delivery of civil engineering projects, coordinating schedules and budgets.
• Engage with clients in meetings, presentations, and contract negotiations.
• Support staff development through mentoring and technical guidance.
• Stay current with evolving civil engineering methods and industry trends.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
