Responsibilities

• Supervise and participate in the preparation of survey designs and plans for roads, bridges and other public works.
• Direct field survey crews to obtain engineering data needed for design work.
• Direct office staff in analyzing field data and preparing plans, drawings, and quantities for construction.
• Review structural drawings and prepare/advise on specifications for bids and construction.
• Coordinate with utilities, land/water companies, and other agencies; advise on relocations and rights-of-way.
