Qualifications

• Civil Engineering or Transportation Engineering degree required.
• California PE license (Class C) required.
• Registration as Civil Engineer in California required.
• At least seven years of progressively responsible transportation engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage the most complex regional priority projects for Measure D and other funding sources.
• Lead consultant selection and contract management activities: RFPs, bids, scopes, budgets, invoices.
• Mentor staff and provide technical engineering assistance; may supervise as needed.
• Contribute policy recommendations to strategic agency priorities.
• Prepare or oversee preliminary studies, reports, designs, calculations, maps and plans.
• Perform professional transportation engineering work in field and office; may act as resident engineer on projects.
