Job summary

The City of Rancho Cucamonga is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to join the Project Management/Project Delivery team. The role focuses on providing technical leadership, complex project delivery, and effective contract management for major city-funded projects.

Reporting to the Principal Engineer, you will oversee design, environmental clearances, permitting, and coordination with other departments, with opportunities to influence capital programs and city-wide infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of engineering principles, methods and practices.
• Ability to plan and coordinate professional and sub-professional engineering work.
• Experience in project development, design and construction.
• Familiarity with reporting, grants, funding sources and codes.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a technical expert and resource for the Project Management/Project Delivery Section.
• Prepare and deliver reports to policy bodies and committees, including City Council.
• Coordinate projects with departments, jurisdictions and regional agencies.
• Oversee large-scale construction projects and contract management.
