Job summary
Giffels Webster in Birmingham, Michigan, seeks a Senior Civil Engineer to join our Oakland County office on high-profile land development projects that improve southeast Michigan. You will work independently with architects, developers, and owners, supported by a Project Manager, handling site plans, grading, utilities, stormwater and permit work, with a hybrid schedule possible.
Required: ABET-accredited engineering degree, 5+ years Civil Engineering experience, AutoCAD experience; preferred
Qualifications
- ABET-accredited engineering degree required.
- At least 5 years of Civil Engineering experience.
- Experience with AutoCAD software is required.
- Exposure to Municipal and/or Private Development projects preferred.
Responsibilities
- Site plan layout and geometrics.
- Grading and pavement design.
- Utility (storm, sanitary, and water) design.
- Stormwater management and green infrastructure design.
- Traffic plans and details.
- Prepare permit applications and cost estimates.
- Attend meetings and conduct field visits.
- Perform construction administration tasks.
