Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer, Land Development (Starlink) to lead the planning, design, and activation of infrastructure for the Starlink facility in Bastrop, Texas. This hands-on role requires the civil engineering team to deliver heavy civil and utility components across projects from concept to startup.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering is required.
• 5+ years of professional experience in civil engineering design, analysis, and drafting.

Responsibilities

• Develop and issue drawings, design documentation, and reports for industrial, manufacturing, and commercial-type land development projects.
• Perform calculations for grading, drainage, stormwater control facilities, water quality, and underground utilities.
• Drive coordination to obtain local, state, and federal permits related to land development and utility construction.
• Manage civil aspects of construction projects in the field including quality control and contractor coordination.
• Interact with contractors, fabricators, owners, and internal clients to develop requirements, schedules, and cost estimates.
• Resolve design and construction conflicts in real-time.
