Job summary

BKF Engineers seeks a Senior Civil Engineer based in Sacramento with a deep foundation in land development civil infrastructure. You will lead multidisciplinary projects from concept to completion, guiding strategy, delivery, and mentoring junior staff.

Proven AutoCAD and Civil 3D expertise is essential, with a California PE license highly preferred. Strong communication with clients and internal teams is required for successful project execution.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Civil Engineering from ABET-accredited program is required.
• Minimum 6+ years of site development experience with residential/commercial subdivisions.
• Mastery of AutoCAD and Civil 3D is required.
• California PE license is highly preferred.
• Strong communication and leadership for client interaction and team coordination.

Responsibilities

• Lead project design efforts for site development including grading, drainage, and utilities.
• Prepare technical reports, master plans, specs, and cost estimates.
• Manage budgeting, scheduling, client communication, and invoicing.
• Collaborate across teams to ensure cohesive design delivery.
• Develop final roadway design packages and incorporate streetscape elements.
