BKF Engineers in Sacramento, CA seeks a Civil Infrastructure Engineering Manager with land development expertise to guide our local team. This California-licensed PE with 7+ years leads site development projects, mentoring junior staff and coordinating grading, drainage, and utility design while ensuring regulatory compliance.

You'll collaborate with project managers and production teams to deliver high-quality designs, participate in proposals, and help drive BKF’s leadership in land

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited B.S. in Civil Engineering required.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical delivery of land development projects with high-quality design and execution.
• Provide budget, invoicing, and monthly billing support.
• Supervise and mentor engineering staff across projects.
• Plan and organize project tasks; delegate and coordinate team efforts.
• Serve as professional-in-charge and provide final design decisions on complex issues.
• Manage grading, drainage, and utility design for site development projects.
• Prepare reports, master planning studies, specs, and cost estimates.
• Ensure QA/QC and identify out-of-scope work to protect project integrity.
• Collaborate with design teams and provide cross-team training and technical support.
• Prepare proposals with scope, schedule, and fee estimates for new/ongoing projects.
• Act as primary client contact and manage sub-consultants; attend meetings.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local standards.
• Support BD through cross-selling services and identifying opportunities
