Job summary

Kimley-Horn's Vero Beach, FL office is seeking a Civil Engineer with 4+ years of experience to join our Land Development team. This is not a remote position.

You will perform site civil design, permitting, and project management while coordinating with clients, regulators, and a multi-disciplinary team to deliver timely, cost-effective solutions. PE licensure or eligibility within 12 months is encouraged.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of relevant engineering design experience.
• Professional Engineering (P.E.) License (or ability to obtain within 12 months).
• Experience with site civil design, permitting, and AutoCAD/Civil 3D.
• Experience with task management, concept design, and assisting project management tasks.
• Coordination with clients, attending client meetings, and overseeing quality standards.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Ability to build plan sets and construction documents.
• Design experience including utilities, site layout, drainage, due diligence and permitting.

Responsibilities

• Perform site development engineering and project management tasks for residential and commercial projects.
• Projects will include a variety of land development site designs.
• Assist in monitoring project progress, budgets, and schedules.
• Work with a team of engineers and designers on a variety of projects.
• Build meaningful internal and external professional relationships.
• Collaborate with jurisdictions and contractors to deliver projects.
