Job summary

Kimley-Horn's Towson, MD office seeks a Civil Engineer with 6+ years of experience to join the Land Development team. This is not a remote position and offers opportunities to lead site design and project management for residential and commercial projects.

The role involves coordination with clients, jurisdictions, and a team of engineers, with responsibilities spanning permitting, budgeting, and documentation to support project success.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of engineering design experience.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) license or ability to obtain within 12 months.
• Experience in site civil design, permitting, and software including hydrology modeling, storm drainage, AutoCAD, and Civil 3D.
• Experience with task management, concept design, and assisting project management tasks.
• Strong client coordination and ability to oversee quality standards.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D and ability to build plan sets.

Responsibilities

• Perform site development engineering and project management tasks for residential and commercial projects.
• Projects will include a variety of land development site designs.
• Coordinate research, permitting for land disturbance, and preparation of bid packages and specifications.
• Assist in monitoring project progress, budgets, and schedules.
• Collaborate with engineers, designers, jurisdictions, and contractors on projects.
