Job summary

BKF Engineers is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer with a strong land development background to lead project delivery, provide technical leadership, and mentor staff. You will manage projects of varying size with close collaboration among clients and multidisciplinary teams.

You will guide entitlement and construction-phase services, ensure designs meet standards, and help grow BKF's Land Development practice across the Northwest. Strong communication and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET‑accredited program or equivalent.
• PE license required (California PE preferred).
• 7+ years of progressively responsible experience in land development engineering.
• Strong site development design experience including grading, drainage, utilities, and roadway improvements.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of land development projects, including residential, commercial, mixed-use, industrial, and public infrastructure developments.
• Prepare and oversee grading, drainage, stormwater, utility, and roadway improvement plans.
• Develop technical reports, studies, specifications, quantity takeoffs, and cost estimates.
• Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, invoicing, and resource allocation to ensure successful delivery.
• Serve as a primary client contact and coordinate with agencies, consultants, and stakeholders.
• Provide technical leadership, QA/QC review, and mentorship to engineering staff.
