Job summary

PMCS Group, Inc. seeks an experienced Civil Engineer to join the Maintenance & Operations A/E team serving LAUSD in Los Angeles, CA. This senior role involves acting as the District’s civil engineering authority from feasibility through permit closeout.

You will certify designs, direct consultants, and establish standards guiding future District projects, impacting grading, drainage, ADA ramps, parking, utilities, and bus drop-off zones for safe school environments.

Qualifications

• A valid Professional Engineer license in Civil Engineering issued by the California State Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors, and Geologists.
• A bachelor's degree in civil engineering from a recognized college or university.
• At least eight (8) years of full-time, paid professional experience in civil design on commercial or public agency projects.
• Experience with AutoCAD design, plus proficiency in Word, Excel, Adobe, and similar tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead civil engineering on District projects and supervise complex planning, design, and construction activities.
• Provide technical direction and review of site development, grading, drainage, utilities, and ADA improvements.
• Review and certify civil plans and ensure compliance with District standards and codes.
• Develop and maintain civil engineering standards, guidelines, and specifications for project delivery.
