Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a Civil Engineer to serve as the primary client liaison for government projects. The role focuses on building strong, enduring client relationships, ensuring clear communication, and delivering successful project outcomes for federal water, infrastructure, environmental, and transportation programs.

This position is based in Pittsburgh, PA, with open hybrid work arrangements and site visits to client locations in the area.

Qualifications

• U.S. government contract requirements require U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain/maintain a DOE L clearance.

Responsibilities

• Create and sign off on basic to highly complex engineering designs involving site layout, grading, hydraulics, water distribution, storage tanks, and stormwater infrastructure.
• Collaborate with architects, structural, mechanical, electrical, and fire protection engineers to deliver integrated solutions.
• Contribute to Technical Knowledge Management by developing white papers and technical design documentation for new or special case designs.
